Samfora is a digital platform that enables donations to charity. Through Samfora, donors can view, compare and donate money to various non-profit organizations in a simple and secure way.
By registering an account on Samfora or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms. You also confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy, which you can find further down on this page. We recommend that you read these documents carefully before using the Service.
In these Terms, the following terms and concepts have the following meanings:
Donor: The person who uses the Service to donate to a Non-Profit Organization.
Non-Profit Organization: An organization that has signed an agreement with Samfora to receive donations through the Service.
Payment Provider: A third party that handles transactions, such as Swish, banks or card companies.
Service: The digital intermediary service for donations provided by Samfora.
Account: The user account that the Donor creates to be able to use the Service.
Samfora provides the Service that enables Donors to donate to Non-Profit Organizations. Samfora acts as an intermediary between the Donor and the Non-Profit Organization. This means that Samfora is only responsible for providing the technical platform for donations in accordance with these Terms, and bears no responsibility for any claims that may arise between the Donor and the Non-Profit Organization regarding the donation.
3.1 The Service is only available to you who are at least 18 years old.
3.2 To use the Service, the Donor must create an Account. The Donor is responsible for ensuring that all information provided during registration or use is correct, complete and up to date.
3.3 The Donor is responsible for keeping the login credentials to their Account confidential and for all use that occurs using them. If the Donor suspects that an unauthorized person knows the Donor's login credentials or has access to the Donor's Account, the Donor must immediately notify Samfora. The Donor may not use another person's Account without first obtaining the account holder's consent.
3.4 The Donor undertakes to only use the Service in accordance with these Terms, applicable law and for its intended purpose. The Donor undertakes not to (i) copy, modify or create derivative works of the Service, or (ii) perform reverse engineering, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to gain access to the Service's source code or underlying technology.

4.2 Samfora reserves the right to close an Account if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the Service is being used in breach of these Terms or applicable law.
5.1 The Service uses Swish and other Payment Providers specified from time to time to enable donations to Non-Profit Organizations. To make a donation via Swish, the Donor must have Swish installed and activated for their mobile number.
5.2 Donations go directly from the Donor to the Non-Profit Organization's bank account. Samfora takes no responsibility for how Non-Profit Organizations use received donations.
5.3 Samfora must share information about the amount, time and payment method for the donation with the Non-Profit Organization for correct accounting.
5.4 The Donor can choose to donate anonymously to the Non-Profit Organization, which means that we will not share your information with the Non-Profit Organization. This can be selected at the time of donation and also changed under "Settings". Please note that if you choose to donate via Swish, the Non-Profit Organization may receive information about you directly from Swish.
6.1 Samfora does not charge any fees from the Donor for providing the Service. Any fees for the Service are invoiced to the Non-Profit Organization afterwards and are visualized for the Donor at the time of donation, before the donation is completed. Transaction fees from Payment Providers (e.g. Swish fee, credit card fee) are paid by the Non-Profit Organization.
7.1 Donations made through the Service are considered gifts under Swedish law and are therefore non-refundable.
7.2 Samfora is only an intermediary for the donation to the Non-Profit Organization and is therefore not responsible for claims from Donors for refund of donations.
7.3 Without prejudice to what is stated in point 1, the Donor can contact the Non-Profit Organization to request a refund. The Non-Profit Organization decides for itself whether and under what conditions a refund can be granted, for example in case of technical errors resulting in incorrect payments, confirmed cases of fraud or unauthorized transactions, duplicate payments caused by system errors or other situations where a refund is deemed justified. For more information, contact the Non-Profit Organization concerned. Have donation ID, amount, time & date close at hand when contacting. The Donor can find this information under "Giving".
8.1 If the Donor wishes to receive a tax deduction for their gifts, the Donor must provide their personal identity number at the time of donation. The personal identity number is shared with the Non-Profit Organization which is responsible for reporting donations to the Swedish Tax Agency. To receive a tax deduction, the donation must meet the requirements set by the Swedish Tax Agency, which you can find on the Swedish Tax Agency's website.
8.2 If the Donor chooses not to provide their personal identity number, neither Samfora nor the Non-Profit Organization can convey information about tax deductions to the Swedish Tax Agency.
8.3 Samfora is not responsible for ensuring that information about tax deductions has been correctly conveyed to the Swedish Tax Agency. The Donor is responsible for ensuring that the information about gifts provided in their income tax return is correct.
9.1 Samfora reserves the right to change these Terms. In case of substantial changes, the Donor will be informed via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the changes have taken effect means that the Donor accepts the new terms.
9.2 Samfora is constantly developing the Service and may completely or partially change or delete different parts of the Service. Samfora can decide at any time to discontinue the Service.
10.1 Samfora strives to maintain good access to the Service, but cannot guarantee anything regarding the reliability, functionality or availability of the Service. Samfora is not responsible for any problems, disruptions or errors that may occur in connection with the use of the Service, including but not limited to direct or indirect damages, consequential damages, lost data or lost profits, that are not caused by gross negligence on our part.
